Nash, Wm. d. 1 March 1876 age about 40 at residence of brother Ham Nash at Rowland Mells. Had spent

his life since 15 years of age in woods as guide and hunter. Three years age in over-effort ruptured a blood bessel in his chest. Treated by Dr. Ormsby. Left arm almost lifeless. Warned against exercise but while trout fishing over extended himself ruptured vessl again and died.

Potter, Mrs. d. 16 December 1876 age 50 wife of owner of Ondawa House at Salem which burned 11

December 1876 fires being set 6 places. Mrs. Potter "cut her throat from ear to ear" It was thought she was cognizantof who set the fire. It is supposed she use the show knife that is missing from her son's valise. Lives Albany and travels for shoe house. She was worth between $20,000-$30,000. Jury of inquest rendered verdict deceased was "in a deranged condition of mind"-due to family matters.
